Michelle Herrera is a video director, creative producer, and visual storyteller based in Michigan, known for blending cinematic emotion with bold, rhythmic visuals. With a deep-rooted passion for storytelling that spans both music and sports, her work resides at the intersection of movement, mood, and meaning.
Michelle is the founder of Herrera Legacy Productions, a video production company specializing in creative direction and high-impact visuals for musicians, athletes, and brands. Since its launch in 2023, Michelle has directed and produced multiple music videos, artist visuals, and sports-centered projects that celebrate authenticity, identity, and energy.
She recently partnered with Summit Talent Group, a Michigan-based artist management company, to help bring musicians' stories and performances to life through visual media. This partnership marks an exciting chapter in Michelle's career as she continues to be part of the journey for emerging artists to be seen and experienced through video.
With a dual degree in Film, Video & Media Studies (BA) and Advertising & Promotion (BBA) from Western Michigan University, Michelle has directed game day hype videos for WMU football, the Kalamazoo Wings professional hockey team (ECHL), and Mezz Entertainment, where she produced a recap video for rapper Dave East. Her sports work combines emotional storytelling with electrifying pacing, whether she is capturing raw adrenaline on game day or the quiet intensity behind the scenes.
Michelle made her directional debut in 2022 with Gold Mine during her internship at Overneath Creative. She has since carved out her lane as a rising go-to music video director with a distinct visual style: ethereal, rich, intentional, and bold. Her aesthetic merges colorful, dreamy palettes, narrative-driven edits, and powerful symbolism, often centering on themes of coming of age, solitude, self-discovery, and cultural pride.
